Precautions when using hemostatic forceps

1. The hemostatic forceps should not clamp the skin, bowel, etc., to avoid tissue necrosis.

2. To stop bleeding, only one or two teeth can be buckled. It is necessary to check whether the buckle is out of order. Sometimes the clamp handle will automatically loosen, causing bleeding, so be vigilant.

3. Before use, it should be checked whether the two pages of the front-end transverse alveolus match, and those that do not match should not be used, in order to prevent the slippage of the tissue clamped by the vascular clamp.

4. During the surgical operation, firstly clamp the parts that may bleed or have seen bleeding points. When clamping the bleeding point, it is required to be accurate. It is best to succeed once, and do not bring too much into healthy tissue. The thickness of the suture the choice should be made according to the amount of tissue to be clamped and the thickness of the blood vessels. When the blood vessels are thick, they should be sutured separately.

Cleaning of the hemostat
After the operation, the metal instruments such as hemostatic forceps used in the operation are difficult to clean, especially after the blood on the instruments is dried, it is more difficult to clean.

Therefore, you can use a piece of gauze poured with liquid paraffin to wipe the blood-stained metal instruments, especially the joints of various instruments and the teeth of various pliers, then gently scrub with a brush, and finally dry with a clean gauze, that is, it can be sterilized by routine disinfection.

Liquid paraffin has good oil-soluble properties. After surgery, blood stains on metal instruments are cleaned with liquid paraffin gauze, which is not only easy to clean, but also makes the sterilized metal instruments bright, lubricated and easy to use.
